Mom, forgive me if I’m misrepresenting the game, my memory from age 2 is a bit fuzzy, feel free to chime in with a correction.
The other day chaos was happening before dinner, so I decided to do a similar game. I started writing labels on cards, telling the kiddos what they said and asking them to place them on their homes. They would put a card down and come running back saying “more, more!” My only challenges were coming up with short/simple words, and coming up with words whose first letter varied (never realized how many B & C words in the living room: ball, book, block, box, carpet, car, cup, chair, couch).
Sometimes they would choose to leave the living room and find the object elsewhere. After bedtime I found them all over the house and so took some photos. Like the dining room chair. Or Baby Dew and Baby Gordon who had joined us for dinner. I love how this card is perfectly placed.
Or Jordan’s obsession, changing pads.
Note there’s a little person beneath this card.
I was thinking the door to the porch, but who am I to correct?
The next morning I found the “hat” card inside Sarah’s hat in the hat bin.
